Who we are.
The Lasallian Education Fund is a global fundraising arm of
Lasallian schools of the West Coast of North America which supports
other international regions and locations serving disadvantaged
youth.
LEF aims to become the education fund of choice for donors worldwide.
The fund will grow to support and touch the lives of economically
disadvantaged and at risk children providing access to attend
Lasallian schools.
Whom we serve
The Lasallian Education Fund exists to serve low-income families
who do not have access to a quality education -- education of
the kind provided by the De La Salle Christian Brothers and
their associates.
Today, some 6,500 Brothers and over 65,000 lay and colleagues
worldwide minister to 800,000 students in 1,081 educational
institutions in 87 countries on six continents. In the United
States/Toronto Region, which is composed of seven separate Districts,
over 60,000 students, more than half of them Catholic, are served
by 1,010 Brothers and 2,800 Partners in 101 Lasallian educational
institutions (2000-2001 figures). The schools serve nearly every
ethnic group and religion around the world
